Fire Escape series is one of the earlier themes I began on. It was developed through the reflection on my sense of beauty originating from Japanese esthetic roots such as clean and sharp, which can be complicated but practical.
Artist Statement
As an artist originally trained in the art of photography in Japan, I have found my true calling in the delicate control of watercolor. This medium speaks to me in a way no other has, anchoring me to the present while setting my spirit free. My journey with watercolor is one of profound self-discovery and expression.Creating a painting is more than just an act of representation; it is a pathway to self-actualization. Each piece is a journal of my inner world, a world that is deeply personal and aligned with my unique perspective and emotional landscape. The subjects I choose are reflections of my soul, allowing me to produce art that is a genuine expression of who I am.In my work, I strive to present the essence of life's simplest joys and to embody a love and respect that knows no bounds, a love and respect for oneself and for all the souls we encounter. My artistic process is a meditation on existence, a way to illuminate the profound connection between the self and the world. It is a testament to the power of art to ground us and to liberate us, to show us the extraordinary in the ordinary, and to reveal the depths of our own being. This is the heart of my art, a journey of constant growth and a tribute to the wonders of life that lie within and all around us.

The effigy series is one of the earlier themes I began. It was developed from reflections on my spiritual journey, which I view as the counterbalance to practicality, embodying a soft, feminine energy. In this series, I depict subject as the guardian spirits and muses that I envision watching over New York City.
